Terms of Service & Rental Conditions

Please read these Terms of Service carefully before booking or operating any self-drive car from ODAC24 Car Rentals in Chandigarh, Mohali, Panchkula, and Zirakpur.

1Driver Eligibility & Required Documents

To rent a self-drive vehicle from ODAC24, the primary renter must fulfill the following statutory requirements:

  • Age Requirement: The primary driver must be at least 21 years of age (23+ for premium 4x4 SUVs like Fortuner Legender and Thar).
  • Valid Driving License: Original physical Driving License for Light Motor Vehicles (LMV). Learner's licenses are strictly not accepted.
  • Government Identity Proof: Original Aadhaar Card, Passport, or Voter ID matching the name on the driver license.
  • International Visitors: Valid Passport, Visa, and an International Driving Permit (IDP) alongside their original national driver license.

2Security Deposit & 2–4 Hour Refund Guarantee

A refundable security deposit is collected at the time of vehicle handover. The amount varies by vehicle segment:

Hatchbacks₹1,500 – ₹2,500
Sedans & Mini SUVs₹3,000 – ₹4,000
SUVs & Thar 4x4₹5,000 – ₹6,000
Luxury / Fortuner₹8,000 – ₹10,000
Guaranteed 2–4 Hour Refund: The security deposit is returned within 2 to 4 hours of vehicle return inspection via direct UPI or IMPS bank transfer, after checking for state toll fines or pending automated traffic challans.

3Fuel & Kilometre Package Guidelines

  • Same-to-Same Fuel Policy: The vehicle is delivered with a recorded fuel level. The renter is required to return the vehicle with an equivalent fuel level. Excess fuel is non-refundable.
  • Unlimited / Package Kilometres: Standard bookings include unlimited KMs or specified generous daily caps agreed upon in the booking invoice.

4Prohibited Uses & Strict Safety Violations

The renter agrees that the vehicle SHALL NOT be operated under any of the following circumstances:

Driving under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or intoxicating substances.
Sub-leasing, sub-renting, or allowing unauthorized secondary drivers without registration.
Commercial taxi usage or carrying fare-paying passengers.
Vehicle racing, stunts, speed trials, or extreme rallying.

5Speed Limits & Automated Traffic Challans

Chandigarh Tricity operates strict automated AI camera speed monitoring systems. Renters must observe posted limits:

• Chandigarh City Roads: 60 km/h• NH44 / Himalayan Expressway: 80 – 90 km/h• Hill Sections: 30 – 40 km/h

Any electronic challan, red-light jumping, or speeding fine issued during the rental period is the sole legal and financial responsibility of the renter and will be adjusted against the deposit or billed directly.

6Inter-State Travel, State Border Taxes & Tolls

All ODAC24 cars carry valid commercial All India Tourist Permits. Tolls (Fastag) and applicable state border entry taxes (e.g. Himachal Pradesh Green Tax / Entry Tax) are to be paid by the customer directly at the toll plazas or state entry barriers.

7Cancellation & Rescheduling Terms

  • Cancellation 24+ Hours Before Pickup: 100% full refund with zero cancellation fee.
  • Cancellation within 6–24 Hours: 1-day rental deduction or 100% booking credit coupon valid for 6 months.
  • Free Date Rescheduling: Free date adjustments permitted subject to fleet availability when informed 12 hours prior.

8. Governing Law & Dispute Jurisdiction

These Terms and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with self-drive rentals with ODAC24 shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent Courts at Chandigarh, U.T., India.
